DESCRIPTION A salad set (bowl and servers) nurtured by nature, the Shadow collection represents an exceptional translation of experienced sensations into real-life products.
Founder and Creative Director Rodolfo Agrella draws inspiration from the shifting shadows beneath the enormous variety of leaves in Venezuela's tropical rainforests. In his research process for this project, he documented and studied more than 200 images of philodendron shadows and the shapes it creates and adjusted them to respond to the product’s particular needs (such as holding, straining, and splitting).
This unique set is guaranteed to add a fresh look to any table, recalling the spreading leaf of a lush tropical plant.
The bowl's verdant design embodies an ideal foil for the most colorful fruits, salads, and vegetables, with its openings integrated into the rim to keep salad servers in their place. The materials are a pleasure to both touch and behold, with curvilinear surfaces and silky texture evoking the sensuality and lushness of South America's vegetation. This set is a phenomenological experience brought to every day's table.
