DESCRIPTION “Our apple," designed by Founder and Creative Director, Rodolfo Agrella, celebrates New York City through a playful graphic depiction of The Big Apple. Paying homage to the spirit of Milton Glaser’s “I LOVE NY” symbol, NYCxDesign teamed up with 21 local designers, including Agrella, to create a heartfelt tribute to NYC.
Agrella sees the city “as a proud matriarch that accepts us all and cares for everyone; a juicy fruit that carries the seeds of our desires, waiting for us to do our part of the work to manifest them.”
In his design, he characterizes that idea enclosed in one big, bold red statement, “as bold as NYC.”
