DESCRIPTION LIMITED EDITION OF 100 TABLEWARE SETS
Serie C | Tableware is a 6-piece porcelain set with a graphical cutlery position code. Through the ludic addition of demarcated patterns to each dish and piece, Rodolfo Agrella shows the proper silverware placement after eating food.
The series was proposed as the starting point for a system of utilitarian products based on the principles established by the Venezuelan Manuel Antonio Carreño Muñoz in his 1853 Manual of Urbanity and Good Manners. In this book, also known as “Manual de Carreño,” the author proposed rules and social codes of good manners and civility to interact successfully in society, making this compendium a protocol and etiquette reference in Latin America.
Agrella reinterpreted Carreño’s rules for the new generations, seeking to reconcile the dynamics of the table within modern society and recover good manners from the contemporary perspective.
